Home Stretch Of The 2014 Sochi Olympics

Thus far in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi the US is currently sitting in 3rd place in the medal count with 7 Gold, 5 Silver, and 11 Bronze totaling out to be 23 medals in these 2014 Winter Olympics. There are still a few days left of the Sochi Olympics. So anything can happen in regards to the medal count. There are 4 remaining events for today in the Olympics. Here are the current medal standings in order by Gold Medals.


  1. Norway = 10 Gold, 4 Silver, 7 Bronze = 21 Total
  2. Germany = 8 Gold, 4 Silver, 4 Bronze = 16 Total
  3. United States = 7 Gold, 5 Silver, 11 Bronze = 23 Total

Olympics In Full Swing

After the Opening Ceremony on Friday in Sochi, the Olympics kicked off real quick. The US is currently 4th in the Medal Count sitting with 2 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze, totaling out to be 6 medals in all. Canada and Norway are tied in the Medal Count each with 4 Gold. The difference is for Norway has 4 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze, totaling out to 10 medals in all; and Canada has 4 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze, totaling out to 9 medals in all. Then comes the Netherlands with 3 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze totaling out to 7 medals in all. After the US comes Germany with only 2 Gold medals who are in 5th in the Medal Count.
