Falcons and Bruins Strong Through November

The Boston Bruins and the Springfield Falcons have held their own thus far. Currently the Springfield Falcons sit Second in the AHL Eastern Conference and the Boston Bruins are currently leading the NHL's Eastern Conference. The Bruins are siting pretty atop the Eastern Conference with 38 points; and the Falcons are siting in Second with 30 points. It is early though, both teams can either take their game to the next level and dominate for a long stretch of time or just fall off a cliff and drop in the standing like a lead balloon.

Red Sox Are 2013 World Champions

I know this is a little late, but I want to congratulate the Boston Red Sox on their 2013 World Series Championship. I feel that after the year that the city of Boston has had from April to now it is only fitting that the Red Sox are World Champions. As I was watching the Red Sox Rolling Rally (World Series Parade) I was surprised and heartfelt after the tribute that Johnny Gomes and Jarrod Saltalamacchia gave when they reached the Finish Line of the Boston Marathon.

Wacha Gets Nod In Game 6

The St. Louis Cardinals have chosen to start Michael Wacha. Wacha is a phenomenal 4-0 in his four Postseason starts. Mind you this is only Wacha's Rookie Year. St. Louis has been amazed by what Wacha brings to the table. He has only allowed 3 runs in all four of his postseason starts. Wacha will be going up against John Lackey. Last time these two men faced off Wacha walked away with the "W". Will we have a repeat of Game 2 or will the Sox come off as the 2013 World Champs.

Wacha Looks for Win Number 4 In Boston

Tonight is Game 2 of the World Series. It should be another pitching duel as Cardinals send Michael Wacha to the mound tonight against the Red Sox own John Lackey. Wacha has had three stellar performances throughout this 2013 postseason. Wacha has not allowed nore than 5 hits and 1 earned run in any of the three previous starts. Wacha's 1 run came off a Pedro Alvarez Home Run in Game 4 of the NLDS. The 5 hits that were allowed in 1 game came in Game 2 of the NLCS against the LA Dodgers. There is also one other accolade that came in the 2013 MLB Postseason and that was the fact that Wacha was named the NLCS MVP, as a rookie.

Crunch Time For Red Sox

So far this postseason, the Boston Red Sox have been a consistent playoff  team to this point in the MLB postseason. The Red Sox survived the ALDS by topping the Tampa Bay Rays in 4 games, winning the series 3-1. To this point in the ALCS the Sox are tied with the Detroit Tigers at 2 games a piece heading into Game 5 tonight in Detroit. You can check your local listings to find the channel and start time. If the Red Sox are able to survive this series against the defending AL Champs, then they will host whoever wins the NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The last time the Dodgers were in the World Series was back in 1988. In which the Dodgers came out on top 4 games to 1 over Tony LaRussa's Oakland Athletics.
